Sharon Slauenwhite, SR/WA, is Supervisor of Roads and Rights of Way with the Department of Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy in Prince Edward Island, Canada. She has worked in real property law and public infrastructure for 30 years in both the private and public sectors. Sharon has been an IRWA member since 2003, and has enjoyed serving in leadership roles with Atlantic Canada Chapter 65, Region 8, the International Governing Council, and the Canadian Right of Way Education Foundation. She became a CLIMB certified instructor in 2016. Presently Sharon is the IRWA’s 2020-2021 International President, and is honoured (yes, that’s the proper Canadian spelling) to be only the third Canadian to serve in the role. In addition to her volunteer work with the IRWA, for the past 16 years Sharon has been an elected member of her local municipal council, as well as sitting on several NGO boards and committees.
