Julia McDonald (Julie) is a licensed Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor with over 35 years of experience in the land surveying and right-of-way industry. She is the owner of Tidemark Land Services, Inc., a Charlotte, North Carolina-based surveying firm.

An active member of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), Julie is an IRWA certified instructor, teaching the 900 series engineering courses and Course 102: Ethics. She served four years on the International Professional Education Committee (IPEC) as Vice Chair of the Instructor Development subcommittee, supporting instructor training and development across the Association.

Within IRWA Chapter 31, Julie has held all major officer roles and chaired several committees. Her dedication has been recognized with the Chapter 31 Professional of the Year award. She is also a past recipient of the YT Lum Award and a Forty for Forty Scholarship from the RWIEF, which supported her journey to earning the SR/WA designation.

Julie remains an active contributor to the IRWA community, with a strong focus on education, mentorship, and professional service.
